SASI Home Care Aides

Initial Application and Ongoing Eligibility

Application appointments can be made by calling (847) 864-7274, Monday through Friday. In order to complete the application, SASI requires:

  • Two years of home care experience
  • Three professional references
  • Proof of residency and work eligibility

Prior to working with SASI, applicants need the following:

  • Agency interview
  • A physical and TB test
  • Fingerprint based criminal background check
  • Extended Interview Session (8 hours)

The application takes an average of one hour to complete. Only 20% of the applicants meet SASI’s expectations and requirements.

To remain an active part of the SASI aide pool, there are ongoing requirements:

  • Annual TB test
  • Criminal background checks as required
  • Current identification and work eligibility documents
  • Meeting ongoing job training requirements of sixteen hours each year
  • Professionalism, reliability, good communication, and dependability
