The Ruby Slipper Event
Save the Date! The next Ruby Slipper Event: There's No Place Like Home is Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Evanston Golf Club. This fundraiser helps SASI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, maintain affordable fees for services.
Nothing captures SASI's celebration of older adults quite like this annual event, which honors efforts to continue living at home despite challenging circumstances.
SASI was pleased that John Macsai—architect, professor, author and writer, and artist—was the 2011 Honoree. The Honorary Event Chair was Sen. Jeff Schoenberg and SASI board members Dorothy Rosen and Susan Ringel Segal were 2011 Event Co-chairs.
The Louise H. Landau Foundation was a major underwriter for the 2011 Ruby Slipper Event. SASI appreciates its support as well as that of two anonymous donors, the North Shore Community Bank, First Bank &Trust and Media Sponsor Evanston Review.
