Emergency or respite help

Are you caring for a senior or other adult and need a break? Do you need to attend to your own needs—an appointment, a lunch date, or just to get out and go for a walk—knowing that the person you care for is well attended? We can help. SASI has no minimum number of hours of service—we do our best to work around your needs.

SASI is also a Respite Care Provider. If you are caring for a frail senior, 60 years of age or older, and need relief you can apply to receive short-term respite care under Title III-E. Contact your local Area Agency on Aging and ask for SASI for reliable and affordable relief.

Sometimes interviewing is not an option—you find yourself in an emergency situation, in need of help right away, today or tomorrow. A phone interview is appropriate in these circumstances, though sometimes you may not feel like you are up to that, either. It may be more convenient to let us select a good candidate for you.

We value consistency in the aides. However, when service starts with short notice the person who is available for the first few days or nights may not be the permanent aide. We will find the permanent person in a day or two.

Call us at (847) 864-7274 to arrange for service.
